BIT Network Terms & Conditions

1. About the BIT Network
The Bio-Innovation Translation (BIT) Network is part of the ClearGate Innovation Translation Ecosystem.
The purpose of the network is to connect academia, startups, industry, investors, and experts to support innovation, knowledge exchange, collaboration, and the translation of ideas into impactful products, services, and technologies.
2. Membership
Membership is available through application or invitation and is subject to approval.
The BIT Network reserves the right to approve, decline, suspend, or terminate membership where participation is no longer aligned with the aims and values of the network.
Members may leave the network at any time.
3. Member Conduct
Members are expected to:
- Provide accurate information about themselves and their organization.
- Engage professionally and respectfully with other members.
- Respect confidential information and intellectual property.
- Support the collaborative spirit of the network.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
4. Networking and Collaboration
The BIT Network facilitates introductions, networking opportunities, events, webinars, and collaboration discussions.
While the network aims to create valuable opportunities, it does not guarantee:
- funding,
- investment,
- partnerships,
- commercial agreements,
- research collaborations,
- project outcomes,
- business opportunities.
Any collaboration, investment, consultancy, licensing arrangement, research project, or commercial relationship is entered into directly between participating parties.
Members are responsible for conducting their own technical, commercial, legal, financial, regulatory, and intellectual property due diligence before entering into any agreement or transaction.
5. Intellectual Property
Members retain ownership of their own intellectual property, research, technologies, data, trademarks, copyrights, and confidential information.
Participation in the BIT Network does not transfer any intellectual property rights between members or with the network.
6. Member Directory
Approved members may be featured in the BIT Network Member Directory and related network activities, subject to their consent.
Members may request updates or removal of their profile information at any time.
7. Membership Fees
Membership is currently offered on a complimentary basis to approved organizations.
The BIT Network may introduce optional premium services, membership plans, or paid programmes in the future. Any such changes will be communicated in advance and, where applicable, will be subject to a separate agreement.
Existing complimentary membership will not automatically convert into a paid membership without the member’s consent.
8. Disclaimer
Information shared through the BIT Network is provided for networking and information purposes only.
The BIT Network, ClearGate, UpCycle Biotech Consultancy, and their representatives do not provide investment, legal, financial, tax, regulatory, patent, or other professional advice through network membership activities.
Members should seek independent professional advice where appropriate.
9. Limitation of Liability
Participation in the BIT Network is voluntary.
The BIT Network, ClearGate, UpCycle Biotech Consultancy (trading as A2COM UK LTD), and their representatives shall not be responsible for any losses, disputes, claims, or outcomes arising from interactions, collaborations, investments, partnerships, or agreements between members.
10. Privacy
Personal information will be processed in accordance with the BIT Network Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be available on the BIT Network website.
